Now For The News

____________________

While listening to a couple of old political hacks interacting with a young, attractive, long-legged, highly made-up young female news anchor, I heard one of the aging pundits proclaim about the American people: "They are not dangerously mad or demonstrably angry, it;s just that they suffer from an everlasting angst."

Of course I had no idea what that statement meant, if anything, and so, being the nosy- parker I am -- always -- I went online to inform and to further educate myself.

At one dictionary, here is what I found:

angst
noun
a feeling of deep anxiety or dread, typically an unfocused one about the human condition or the state of the world in general.
informal:
a feeling of persistent worry about something trivial, as in, "my hair causes me angst".

Wikipedia says: "Angst means fear or anxiety."

After a short time of deep reflection, I decided that the conversation wasn't worth much to me, so I sat back down in my comfortable lounge chair, stretched out, relaxed with my feet up, and just continued to enjoy the sight of a brightly and tightly sheathed young female body with long  shapely, naked legs prominently displayed who smiled at me so often and so femininely fetchingly.

The O'Reilly Factor

____________________

Today's Word For The Day on Bill OReilly's show was chuffiness.  According to the show's staff, the definition is:

Chuffiness: (Noun) The quality of being chuffy. Chuffy - fat or puffed out in the cheeks; rough; clownish; surly.

I wonder what picture that word brings to mind.

According to Dictionary.com the simple definition is:

chuffy
churlish; surly.

NASA, Etc.

NASA's Kepler mission has confirmed discovery of the first near-Earth-size planet in the “habitable zone” around a sun-like star.

The Kepler-452 system is located 1,400 light-years away in the Cygnus constellation. Which means that if ET calls home from here on Earth, it will take 1,400 years before his voice will be heard in the Kepler-452 system -- and then it will be another 1,4,00 years before ET receives a reply.

Quite a lengthy conversation.

_____

I find it ludicrous that all the World News reporters and everyone not tied to Obama's government, refers to the  Islamic State of Iran and Syria as ISIS, while the existing U.S. regime insists on being different, referring to the enemy as ISIL, the Islamic State of Iran and the Levant.

Anything to differentiate and divide.

Or so it seems to me.

Note:
Levant:
A region on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea north of the Arabian Peninsula and south of Turkey, usually including the area of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria.

At THE RUNDOWN, a blog of news and insight, I read:

About 7.5 million Americans paid an average penalty of $200 for not having health insurance in 2014 -- the first year most Americans were required to have coverage under the Affordable Care Act, the Internal Revenue Service says. Continue reading

Yeah... well, I don't believe it. For several reasons.

But I don't want to reveal them at this time.
