HISTORICAL EVENT

On this day in 1954, in a major civil rights victory, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down an unanimous decision in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, ruling that racial segregation in public educational facilities is unconstitutional. The historic decision, which brought an end to federal tolerance of racial segregation, specifically dealt with Linda Brown, a young African American girl who had been denied admission to her local elementary school in Topeka, Kansas, because of the color of her skin.

The Brown v. Board of Education decision served to greatly motivate the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s and ultimately led to the abolishment of racial segregation in all public facilities and accommodations.

Dennis Hopper was an American actor. As a young man, He appeared in two films featuring James Dean, Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and Giant (1956). During the next ten years, Hopper appeared frequently on television in guest roles, and by the end of the 1960s had played supporting roles in several films. He directed and starred in Easy Rider.

Sasha Alexander

(born May 17, 1973)

Sasha Alexander is an American actress. She played Gretchen Witter on Dawson's Creek. She also acted in feature films such as Yes Man (2008); and He's Just Not That Into You (2009). Alexander also acted as former Secret Service/NCIS Special Agent Kate Todd for the first two seasons of NCIS. She currently stars as Maura Isles on the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles.

Bob Saget is an American stand-up comedian, actor and television host. He is best known for his family-friendly roles as Danny Tanner in Full House and the original host of America's Funniest Home Videos.

Paige Turco is an American actress, best known for her role as April O'Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. She also known as Terri Lowell in the CBS series The Agency, and well for roles in American Gothic, NYPD Blue, Party of Five and Person of Interest. In 2014, Turco is starring as Abigail Griffin in post-apocalyptic drama series The 100.
