End Of The Monsoon Season?

Tucson Weather Today

I have been thinking about launching a new writing project and if I decide to do so these blog entries will no longer appear as a daily event; I will be too busy to prepare an entry each day and will probably have to settle for composing a weekly entry, or perhaps even less than that. And if that comes about, the quality of each entry will probably increase several fold.

More about that later . . .

Clinic Escorting Encounters is the title of a piece by nerdy, liberal, humanist progressive Brianne Bilyew in her blog Biodork regarding abortion clinic 'escorts' and some of the incidents witnessed while Brianne was working as a volunteer escort.

(Above is what I call a complex sentence)

(Informative and understandable though)

Anyway, I recommend that anyone who has an interest in the trials and tribulations of abortion clinics read this short but compelling blog entry.

If you'd like to read more of Brianne's writing . . .

Here is a link to the Biodork Home Page

According to the TV Weather Girl, the 2012 monsoon season around Tucson is nearing its end, and we can now look forward to a succession of dry days.

Hot though.

Used to express disagreement, disbelief, or frustration.

H. L. Mencken

Born Sep 12, 1880
Died Jan 29, 1956

Henry Louis "H. L." Mencken was an American journalist, essayist, magazine editor, satirist, critic of American life and culture, and a scholar of American English. Known as the "Sage of Baltimore", he is regarded as one of the most influential American writers and prose stylists of the first half of the twentieth century.

Many of his books still remain in print.

Various of the writings of H.L. Mencken are available for download from The Kindle Store, a few of them at no cost (FREE). I just a couple days ago downloaded Mencken's In Defense of Women (FREE) and am looking forward to  reading it. I also downloaded his Damn! A Book of Calumny -- also FREE.

He was the most successful athlete at the 1936 Summer Olympics, a victory more poignant and often noted because Adolf Hitler had intended the 1936 games to showcase his Aryan ideals and prowess.

I can't recall a single masculine figure created by a woman [author] who is not, at bottom, a booby.
