Some Oldies Really Are Goodies

_____

I've been reading the "Look Inside" sections of books at The Kindle Store and neglected to decide on what to write about here in the blog. Now it's too late in the morning to do that little chore.

It came to mind that it's been close on to fifty years since I have read God's Little Acre by Erskine Caldwell so I dived right in at the Amazon's "Look Inside" feature of that one . . .
. . . even though I know for sure that I won't give them the $10.94 asking price. That's just too durned much for an e-book. After all, I could probably get an old  printed copy of that novel down at Bookman's Used Bookstore just three miles West of here on Speedway Boulevard for three or four dollars.

But what I have already read from the "Look Inside" section confirmed my suspicion that I'd like to re-read that old book.

I'll give it some thought.
